Polaroid

Category: Technology

Prior to the creation of these cameras, we had to take pictures using rolls of film that had to be mailed away to be developed into photographs. The biggest advance in photography at the time were Polaroid cameras that printed photographs seconds after they were taken. The film would develop magically on its own before our eyes, and in the white frame you could write in captions. The instant or one-shot cameras as they were called and the pictures themselves were called Polaroids after the brand.
